Introducing Ryan Masters

I had some time on the plane this weekend, so I wrote a little introduction for the summer blocSonic/Music Manumit intern, Ryan Masters. It will be brief, but it frees up Ryan to work on what he wants.

Ryan is a rising 2nd year law student at the University of New Hampshire (where I went to law school). He is specifically interested in record labels.

The first year of law school is basically all core classes. For our purposes, it's just important to know that he hasn't had a lot of intellectual property training. He'll be learning this summer, just like most of you reading this. It's entirely possible the majority of you will find his writing more interesting than mine, since mine will often be more detail-oriented.

It's also important to note that the laws are different in different countries. While blocSonic/Music Manumit and Ryan are all interested in international law, familiarity necessitates that we focus on US law. If someone would like to write for us from an international perspective, we'd love to add to the team.

How much Ryan ends up writing and recording for the Lawcast is still to be determined. I'm sure you'll see it on the homepage.
