Tell us about your music and tell us what’s new!

He was a lurker

If no one remixes you, maybe you didn’t do something right.

600-700 times he’s been remixed

145 remixes!

100 original pieces

always stems. ALWAYS STEMS (ok, that was Doug, not Bob yelling)

cleaning technique is polite silence

by 2nd or 3rd, people usually get picked up

CC shock!

"permissive" version of -NC

Free as in beer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gratis_versus_libre

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance_hall

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancehall (genre)

half beast noises, and half natural sounds. beastcore

I wouldn’t call this a real genre, but some people are using it: http://www.last.fm/tag/beastcore/artists

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normcore

reminds me of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Livery_Stable_Blues

Are you still touring?

Yes! regularly. Every Sunday night at a church at a Catholic church. Very different from his old bar gigging.

Where did the project name originate...Bob is not short for Richard?

hotmail when new but everything was taken. Admiral Bob was a frustration name.

What drew you to Creative Commons?

mp3.com.au and soundclick...surviving granddaddy

Why not put it out for free?

Why do you use the the license you use?

used a few different ones. Doesn’t use CC0 often. Sometime uses CC BY or CC BY-BC.

You can buy a license from Tunetrack, but

plagiarism is annoying!

Cannes people weren’t attributing...but then Tom asked them to and they did!

"the message in the bottle"

Who are some people you think we should try to get on the show (aka, who are the important people in Creative Commons music today)?

Loveshadow - a producer on ccmixter. really glossy butter. Brian Ferry and progressive jazz

http://ccmixter.org/people/loveshadow

Is there anything else you would like to say/tell us about?

secret mixter was discussed in our first talk with Susan from ccmixter: ccmixter-120729-music-manumit-podcast

other time we had Susan on: ccmixter-ii-140601-music-manumit-podcast

Also, when we had Emily on: emily-richards-141109-music-manumit

collage of a lot of really bad things. It’s a waking nightmare. It’s about the weariness of the nightmare you can’t escape.
